Set for Ambiente 2012
New in 2012
“Solutions” special show: Clever
solutions are very much in demand
with customers, especially when it
comes to the pleasures of cooking
and dining. The distinguishing marks
of the consumer goods of the future
are new materials, new techniques
and new properties. In the foyer of
Hall 4.0, Solutions – curated and
orchestrated by designer Sebastian
Bergne – will provide an overview
and present genuine innovations.
Partner Country Denmark: In
matters of design, the Danes are
setting the standards with Am-
biente exhibitors like Eva Solo,
Holmegaard, Menu
A/S and Stelton.
Messe Frankfurt
has succeeded
in acquiring this
important design
location as a partner country for
Ambiente in 2012.
As an exclusive
cooperation part-
ner, the Danish
Design Centre will put on a special
show in the Galleria, where it will
present Danish sustainable design
under the title “ 10+ Design Fore-
cast Denmark – Future Living.”
The partner-country program will
also include an official tour with
representatives from business and
politics, as well as Denmark Day
on Feb. 13, which will be devoted
to cultural themes.
Once again, homes will become
more colorful and carefree – just
how colorful and carefree will be
demonstrated by the Trend Show
in Galleria 1. The bora.herke.palm-
isano style studio has researched
the four trends – electric romance,
dark attitude, light innocence and
radiant modernity – which it will
be implementing with the help of
several hundred products from the
latest collections of around 4,500
Ambiente exhibitors. Every day,
there will be trend lectures to ex-
plore the topics in greater depth.
The “Kitchen Innovation of the
Year” award is organized by the
“Life-Care” initiative. It honors
innovation and outstanding
quality in products from
the Kitchen and Table seg-
ments. The award-winning
products can be seen in an
exhibition in the foyer of
Halls 5. 1 and 6. 1, where
live cooking shows will offer
regular demonstrations of
these products.
