Holiday & Home Expo will offer thousands of new Christmas products
as well as seminars and walking tours and more than $15,000 in cash
prizes. The show is set for Jan. 18-24, 2012, at Dallas Market Center,
the world’s most complete wholesale marketplace. Holiday & Home
Expo will run in conjunction with the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market
(Jan. 18-24). Holiday & Home Expo Temporaries will run Jan. 19-22.
To enter the drawing for the $10,000 grand prize, $3,000 second prize
and $2,000 third prize, buyers must visit 10 participating Holiday &
Decorative Association (HDA) exhibiting showrooms/booths. Entry
forms may be picked up at the
HDA table in the lobby of the
International Trade Plaza (The
Plaza). The drawing will be 6 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 21. Contestants
must be present to win. Buyers
can also enter daily drawings for
$250 or Market Money showroom
gift certificates by showing pur-
chase orders from HDA members.
Wholesale Glass Vases International (WGV International),

January. The company offers
quality glass vases handmade by
industry professionals for florists
and special event professionals.
Products range from glass candle
holders to block glass vases as
well as cube, cylinder and ginger
jar vases.
Nancy Clarke, former chief floral
designer for the White House, will
present “Christmas in the White House: My 30 Years” at noon Saturday,
Jan. 21, in the Seasons Gallery, The Plaza.

January Holiday & Home Expo to Offer $15,000
in Cash Giveaways
Becky Sarwate has joined Hearthware, Inc. in the newly created
position of senior manager, social media marketing/head writer. She
reports to David Kaplan, director of online marketing.
Sarwate will develop online content for Hearthware, Inc.’s Web sites to
support the continued growth of the NuWave Pro Infrared Oven and
other company products. She will also be responsible for executing
social media strategy, assisting in the development of direct marketing
television scripts and promotions, and writing and editing content for
cookbooks, manuals and other materials.
Sarwate has extensive experience in corporate communications, Web
content management, copywriting, research, SEO copywriting and
social media, working with companies such as the American Dental
Association, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Ahlbeck & Company, ePageCity,
the Chicago Office of Tourism and Think Glink Publishing. Sarwate has
a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Illinois,
and a Master of Arts in English Literature from Northeastern Illinois
University.
Alice Pace has joined the Hearthware, Inc.
culinary team in the newly created position
of pâtissière (baker). She reports to Jennifer
Epker Dawes, executive chef.
Pace’s responsibilities include creating and
testing recipes for the company’s growing
line of innovative products, including the
original NuWave Pro Infrared Oven and the
new NuWave Mini Infrared Oven. She also
assists in shooting the culinary recipe and
instructional videos that appear on www.
nuwavecookingclub.com, an exclusive Web
site for NuWave Oven owners.
Prior to joining the culinary team, Pace worked in Hearthware’s
customer service department for four years. Before joining Hearthware, Inc., she served as the assistant to the general manager of
Deerfield’s Bakery in Buffalo Grove, Ill. Her experience included
