Gourmet Returns to Winter NYIGF
Following the supportive response of the summer 2011 debut of the
Gourmet Housewares Show at the New York International Gift Fair
(NYIGF), the Fair’s Tabletop & Housewares division will be redefined
to showcase a concentration of gourmet housewares companies at the
winter 2012 market.
Major brands, including Aladdin, Joseph Joseph, Mastrad and OGGI,
which participated in the inaugural Gourmet Housewares Show at
NYIGF in summer 2011, have committed to exhibit in the winter 2012
NYIGF in order to gain continued exposure to gift and home buyers.
“These returning companies realize the benefits of participating in
NYIGF, and the value of expanding their reach into gift and home
channels,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior
vice president. “Buyers needing both summer and winter markets
to shop and source new gourmet resources also benefit.”
This winter, Tabletop & Housewares will feature a new show floor loca-
tion and layout to accommodate construction in the 3A and 3B Halls of
the Javits Center. The new space brings the entire division together in
one cohesive area, with Aladdin, Joseph Joseph, Juliska, Michael Aram,
Mottahedeh & Company and Vietri positioned at the entry, and Bodrum,
Frances Stoia, Kim Seybert, Lunares, Mariposa, Reed & Barton and
Vagabond House in key anchor locations.
