Q Squared, which opened its 19th
floor showroom earlier this year
to take advantage of the New
York Gift Show, will experience its
first New York Tabletop Market.
The company’s signature is a new
generation of melamine tableware
designed in Italy and produced in
China. The company is making a
bold statement in color and shape
that’s not to be missed.
Also on the 19th floor is Cristal de
Sevres. The elegant French crystal
resource debuted at Forty One
Madison this past fall as a “
temporary,” but has made it official with
a permanent showroom now ready
for the Spring Market. It is sharing
its space with La Mediterranea recycled glass tableware.
Noteworthy, too: While Auratic
awaits completion of its permanent
showroom on the 14th floor, it is
set up for business in a temporary
space on the 17th floor. And, as
on Level A, sharing tabletop trend
information and suggestions on
what fabulous finds can be discovered when visiting Forty One’s
participating showrooms. Designers
will then be able to explore the
building on their own and see, as
well, the Lobby table settings display
created by LUXE in collaboration
with designer Michael Tavano for
the Spring Market.

was recently announced, Daum and
Haviland will remain at Forty One
Madison, 10th floor, following their
split from Lalique.
Taking space on the newly renovated
eighth floor is Circle Glass, a brand
that for over 30 years has been a
key resource for value-driven glass
barware, stemware, serveware and
giftware. According to owner Sidney
Elmann, he made the decision to
relocate Circle to Forty One Madison
because, “This is the perfect place
for Circle Glass to step up the
presentation of its latest upscale
product lines, including some new
licensed collections. Being at Forty
One Madison takes us to the next
level in our business strategy.”
Industry veteran Nils Lindblad is
opening his own showroom, NGL
Associates, on the 17th floor where
he will be representing a lineup
of new-generation home brands
breaking into the U.S. market.
Among the portfolio is ASA Selection
from Germany, whose porcelain
and ceramic tabletop and accessories have a distinct modern aesthetic. He’ll also be showing Sweden’s
Cult Design, whose mantra is “dare
to be square” and whose kitchen
and bathroom products take on
the cubed form. From Italy, there’s
Sowden Design and its “Soft Brew,”
an innovative gourmet coffee system
that’s billed as “no press, no stress.”
And, lastly, the home scents from
Serene House will be featured.
Lindblad also represents Stelton,
which can be found in its own roost
on the 16th floor. “Forty One Madison is the place to meet the right
buyers for high-end products for the
home,” he said. “So, I’m pleased to
be able to open my showroom at
this prestigious industry address.”
Burns also announced that Forty
One Madison is teaming with LUXE
Interiors & Design magazine to
host a special program for interior
design professionals. “We want to
help to broaden their awareness
of how valuable a resource the
community of showrooms can be in
finding not only tableware, crystal
and flatware, but also lighting and
decorative accessories,” said Burns.
She estimates that more than 30
showrooms are welcoming to work
with the design trade.
The program “Interior Designer
Day” is Thursday, April 14. It kicks
off at 11 a.m. with LUXE editor-in-chief Pam Jaccarino, who will greet
and speak to guests at a reception
