NYIGF
They say New York is the place to see a show. And while we’re
talking a bit off Broadway, nonetheless the New York International
Gift Fair (NYIGF) opened to rave reviews in early February.
And there were plenty of stars to be found among the aisles.
The first notables were award winners in the Accent on
Design arena who were presented with “Bloggers’ Choice
Awards.” Bloggers from noted design and trend-watching sites each selected one product, from
the thousands presented by some 200 Accent
on Design exhibitors, for its “urgent,
odd and delightful design.”
Bloggers selecting stars in the
gourmet world include:
Jonathan Adler

Hollister Hovey, HollisterHovey.
blogspot.com: Bellocq, Ltd.
(Brooklyn, N.Y.) for its Bellocq Teas.
“The package design is traditional
yet completely modern. The teas
could be used over and over as key
kitchen accessories. They will be a
centerpiece in upscale boutiques.
The yellow seems like a classic a là
Hermès orange.”
Heather Clawson, Habitually
Chic.blogspot.com: Jonathan
Adler (New York) for its moustache
corkscrew. “It was one of the most
fun and original products I saw at
NYIGF. It’s really hard to find good
gifts for men and the moustache
corkscrew would make a perfect
gift!” (continued on next page)
