McCormick Place. Kicking off the day prior to the International Home + Housewares Show opening, the
Specialty Retailer University program focuses on tools to help you grow your business and make it more
profitable. Topics covered include store design and layout, marketing and special promotional events,
business planning and technology.

Business: Keeping Your Inventory Profitable by Bob Coviello,
president, HTI Buying Group. An organized back office helps guarantee sales. Bob will help you start or restart your buying plans.
Design: Visual Merchandising Trends in a Retail World by
Linda Cahan, author and contributing editor, Gifts & Decorative
Accessories. Visual merchandising attracts, but Linda will show
you how to make it talk to your customers and get them to
respond with sales.
Retail: Capturing Market Share in Today’s World by Sue
Reardon, owner and business artist, The Growth Coach.
Social Media: Mobile and Beyond APting and Adapting, led
by Beth Rosen of 4 Keys Media Inc., who will moderate a panel on
mobile marketing and how it creates sales and loyal customers.
