Two highly anticipated annual classes
focus on pizza and crepes. Taught with a
hands-on format, local celebrity Chef Nick
Mueller leads Nick’s Famous Pizza Class
during which he covers all the basics for
perfect homemade pizza, from dough to
his famous roasted tomato sauce.
“His classes always sell out quickly,” Freeman
said of Nick. “Our classes have sold out
fast this year. We’ve been fortunate to get
some celebrity chefs such as Sara Moulton
and Virginia Willis,” he explained. “Anyone
from out of town sells out like a heartbeat.”
This quarter a quick-selling class that

The pressure cooker class is a great
example of how cooking classes can
both lead and feed culinary trends. As
evidenced by the quick response to the
class, Freeman can surmise that pressure
cooking and perhaps canning are growing
trends in his neck of the woods and focus
in-store displays on the category.
Dean Eaton, owner of Your Kitchen Store
in Keene, NH just developed his cooking
school program after moving to a larger
space last year. Classes began quietly
without a formal calendar and sparked
interest from his customers.
