Feature Stories
Over at 7 W NY, Chris Collins, Vice President and
General Manager is also expecting the best from the
fall market. In a prepared statement, he said, “Retailing
experts agree that the home décor and relaxation
segment continues to expand due to consumer interest
in both their own comfortable nesting, and preference
for gifting beautiful yet practical items. As this market
focuses on those inclinations, the showrooms at 7 W
are filled with classically elegant to fashion-forward
items perfect for everyday entertaining.”
ARC International expanded their showroom at 7
W NY to accommodate their portfolio of tabletop
brands including lines that serve the demands of
the restaurant industry. The expanded showroom
will lay out each of the product lines for buyers.
Arc International will also introduce a new line of
licensed products based on NCIS and CSI.
Another change in the lineup at 7 W NY includes
newcomer Diane Ruengsorn, founder and director of
Domestic Aesthetic. She will show her contemporary
kitchen and housewares on the 6th floor in Gallery
on 6. The company’s philosophy, “live well, live
right,” encourages consumers to buy products that
enhance their lives while taking into account people
and the planet.
Summing up the show and the market potential,
Laurie Burns, Senior Vice President and Director at
Forty One Madison, said, “This show launches five
new showrooms of companies from abroad setting
up their U.S. Divisions. Many other showrooms are
launching major new collections. This confirms that
the world’s best companies are optimistic about
the U.S. market since they are making substantial
investment and commitment. The great brands
that continue to invest in ‘new’ are sure to become
best sellers at retail. This show looks to be positive
for a kick off to 2011 business.”
