Piazza Plate

Domestic Aesthetic launched a new dinnerware line at the
London Design Festival in September, 2010. The first of the
line, the Piazza Plate, was inspired by staircases. According
to Domestic Aesthetic founder Diane Ruengsorn, staircases
are these simple, everyday structures that transition you
from one level to another. She liked that they could be a
personal metaphor for transition as well. The Piazza Plate
was modeled after Italian piazzas; future additions to the
line include bowls modeled after amphitheaters such as the
Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
