NASFT announces sofi™ Award finalists for outstanding new products:

Winners to be named at The Summer Fancy Food Show

The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) announced the 2010 sofi™ finalists for Outstanding New Product and Outstanding Product Line on June 14, just before the association’s Summer Fancy Food Show. The sofi award recognizes Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation. Products are nominated by NASFT members.

A national panel of food experts tasted more than 2,250 entries to determine this year’s finalists for the sofi awards. Finalists in 33 categories were named earlier this year (see p 10). Winners for each of the 33 categories plus the winners of the outstanding new product and outstanding product line will be announced at the show.

In a prepared statement, NASFT president, Ann Daw commented, “We are extremely pleased with the excitement surrounding this year’s awards. The judges selected outstanding Silver Finalists that represent the spirit of creativity and innovation in the specialty food business.”
