Coombe Castle wanted to please some of their Canadian customers by bringing
cheese in the shape of a hockey puck to market. PUC’s are specially prepared
and packaged portions of their most popular blended cheeses, with an additional
topping on the traditional cheese base. Examples include Creamy Cinnamon,
made with Lancaster cheese with cinnamon, apple and raisins; Sticky Toffee,
made from cheddar blended with dates, raisins and toffee; Wensleydale with
Cranberry and White Stilton with Apricot.
